Paternity Dispute! Why Two Men Fight over Baby Birthed by 18-Year-Old Lady
Two men, Ajayi Tosin and Kesiena Tito are reportedly in contention over the paternity of a baby, delivered by an eighteen-year-old girl, Blessing Iroroteh in Warri, Delta State.
The matter deepened after Ajayi was arrested over the weekend, following a petition of ‘Threat to Life’ instituted by Kesiena to the Nigeria Police Area Command.
In an exclusive Chat with Dailypost, Ajayi who is a barber, claimed to have cohabited with Blessing since 2015 before she delivered the baby boy, Emmanuel Omkhode Ajayi this year, in his house.

The barber added that his elder sister was responsible for the medical bills and after Blessing was delivered of the baby, had been catering to her and the baby.
He said Blessing’s mother also came to nurse (Omugo) the baby for two months in his house at Nnewi Street, Akah Avenue in Effurun, Delta State.
Ajayi noted that he did the naming and dedication ceremony in the presence of her mother, who later whisked Blessing away to the home of Kesiena.
“I was at home when Police came to arrest and took me to the Area Command, they even said I should swear affidavit but I rejected it.
I am the owner of the baby. I don’t want to sell my child. They should go ahead with the DNA but that other man should pay for it.”
Ajayi said he was forced to deny paternity of the baby at the Police Station by Kesiena’s family and forced to take N100,000 and forfeit the child.
In a contrary view, Kesiena claims to have dated Blessing, mother of the contending baby boy for five years, pointing out that they separated ten months ago.
Kesiena who hails from Ophorigbala Community, Ughelli South Local Government Area stated that he had been responsible for the education of Blessing all these years.
“We were dating before for the past five years before she left me for Ajayi. The baby is my own.”
The mother of the child confessed that she left Kesiena’s house to Tosin’s because she felt Kesiena would not accept the pregnancy, not to mention taking care of it and that her mother was aware of these facts.

Dailypost gathered however, that the Police at the Area Command in Warri has ordered that DNA be carried out to ascertain the true owner of the child or referred to court.
This story is messy and highlights even a greater concern of child sexual abuse. If she is just 18 years old, how could anyone have dated her for 5 years even to the knowledge of her mother? Does that mean she had started dating men from the age of 13?
