Dear MIMsters: My Boyfriend or My Family? Who Should I Choose?

My boyfriend and I are expecting a baby together. He has finally taken responsibility but we have another little problem though which is our families.

The problem is that, his family doesn’t like me at all even though I have not met them. They want him to continue in a relationship with his ex.

On the other hand, my family also doesn’t like him. This is because after I got pregnant, there was a time he left me for a month. This broke my heart so much that I had to tell my family everything.

Since then, my family has hated him for real. My family was even prepared to take care of me and my baby and they’ve been doing so well. The thing is they do not know that my boyfriend and I are fine again now.

My family doesn’t want my boyfriend near me nor the baby when it’s born and they want nothing to do with him. On the contrary, I want my baby’s father to play a part in our baby’s life, hence my dilemma.

Now, I don’t know who to choose. Should I choose my family or my boyfriend because I love him? My sister once told me that love is not enough sometimes.
