My Baby’s Life or Mine! See What Happened to This Mom and Baby She Birthed While in Coma
A cancer-diagnosed mother in Detroit, Michigan gave birth to her sixth child on the 6th of September, this year while in a coma she had been in for 2 months.
Carrie DeKlyen had chosen to forgo her cancer treatment (chemotheraphy) so that she could give birth to her sixth child. PEOPLE reported that Carrie was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a type of cancer consisting of highly malignant tumors that are generally found in the brain and reproduce quickly.
Her husband, Nick Deklyen said that the doctors had warned that the baby be removed or else Carrie would die, but she chose to save her baby instead. Carrie who went into deep unresponsive coma two weeks after giving birth to her baby girl, Life Lynn DeKlyen, died two weeks after delivery.

On Wednesday, just three days after Carrie died, her little baby girl, Life Lynn also sadly died.
Baby Lynn was reportedly okay since her birth with no signs of complications. Nick said Lynn, who was born at 24 weeks and 5 days, had been doing well since delivery. However, Nelson told the Associated Press that Lynn “took a turn for the worse” this week.

Nick told PEOPLE that he had kissed his wife goodbye, and looked forward to the future with his new baby girl, but unfortunately that would not be happening.
The families are deeply sorrowed over Lynn’s death especially as her mother had died for Lynn to keep her memory alive.
