Heartbreaking! Why Man Killed His 55-Year-Old Mother In Benin

It is disheartening to hear that a child borne by a woman and nurtured by her will turn against her one day and kill her in cold blood.

A Nigerian,  Caleb Obasogie, has allegedly killed his 55-year old mother identified as Josephine Igbineweka over her refusal to give him money.

According to Nationsnewspaper, the killing reportedly occurred around 8:00 a.m on Friday at their residence in Benin City, Edo State.

A neighbour, told journalists that Caleb locked himself and his mother in one of the rooms and used broken bottle to stab her repeatedly until her intestines were ripped out.

Witnesses also revealed that he had severely damaged his mother’s intestines before neighbours could rush in to rescue her.

Before the incident, the deceased had passed the night at a neighbour’s house because her son locked her out the previous night for not giving him the money he demanded.

Caleb who is a final year student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has been taken into the police custody for necessary investigations.
