Pregnant Woman & Hubby Infected With Monkeypox in Rivers Cry Out: “Life is Hell, Help Pls!”

An unidentified pregnant Nigerian mom who resides in Port Harcourt, Rivers state has cried out to popular NGO, KBKonline to help her seek for help after her husband got infected with rare deadly viral disease caused by Monkeypox.

According to the disturbed mom, she fears she has also contracted the disease.

She said she had to send her children down to her mother in order for them not to get infected too and instead of health workers in the state to help her out, they went around spreading news that her family is infected with the communicable disease.

She wrote;

”My husband is down with the Monkey pox and we’ve spent the little we have on medication yet nothing… even the health people are just posting us since they’ve done nothing to help.

I think i might be infected already because I didn’t know on time, am even heavily pregnant and am the one taking care of him.

  • OMG!!! Nigerian health system is just rubbish. Shouldn’t the government be doing something to curb this disease? Infected persons are not supposed to be seeking help from NGOs.
