Nigerian Girl, 17, Arrested for Stabbing Boyfriend to Death in Lagos

A young boy identified as Tomide Seun, was allegedly stabbed to death by his female friend, a 17-year-old girl identified as Hannah Adesuwa.

The late Tomide uses the social media handle, Lifeoftomson Seun and a quick check of his page shows that on Sunday, he celebrated Hannah on her birthday;

“Baby, on your birthday, I pray that you get whatever your heart desires. May this special day of yours bring with it God’s blessings and love into your life…. I love you,” he wrote on the Facebook page.

On Saturday, two days before his tragic death, Akintoye took to his timeline again and wrote,

“Sometimes, a man needs to die to leave (sic) again.”

He was stabbed to death on Monday.

Posting on his Facebook, a friend of the deceased, Jnr. Slimzzy, wrote:

“Rest in perfect peace blood Lifeoftomson Seun Never thought it could be you, I never wanted to hear this kind of news , why would you leave me like this , it’s hurt so much after how we planned our future together how could you just leave me like this, do you know how much it hurts so much right in my heart, your memories can never be erased you, My other half of me just disappeared….RIP brother, Blood, Best friend till we meet again.”

This comes after several incidents of crimes of passions, like 300 Level Undergraduate Reportedly Murdered by Baby Mama in Lagos

Meanwhile, a police source comfirmed there was a disagreement between them around 8am and Akintoye assaulted the suspect.

“The suspect retaliated and stabbed him with a pair of scissors in the chest. He was rushed to a hospital, but he bled to death,” the source added.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect had been arrested.

He, however, did not give further details.

He said,

“Suspect arrested, while the case will be transferred to the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba.”

So unfortunate!

  • Hahaha, Nigerian blind law. She’s a societal minor and not liable to face any prosecution. She’s yet to be 18 and meanwhile this is what is expected of a child who places relationship above education. Instead of struggling to make impact in life, she’s falling in love at 17. Where are her parents cos their training has paid off. Nonsense
