Cute or Disturbing? Two Moms Hold Special Mini-Wedding Photo Shoot for Their Kids

In a magical mini-wedding ceremony in Texas, the little bride and groom pictured below said “I do” after their mothers, both photographers, arranged a pint-size photo shoot for the youngsters because they love hanging out together.

Photographers Breana Marie and Bria Nicole of Texas have been friends for a long time, and have always wanted to think of a project that would incorporate their respective children.

In a chat with PEOPLE, one of the moms talked about the newly weds, Sullivan, 5 and Ella, 3, pretending to celebrate their big day.

Ella’s mom, Breana of Breana Marie Photography said;

”We told them they were getting married and found a little baby-sized ring box. I told her she got to dress like a princess for her wedding.

I braided her hair and then they saw each other and they said, ‘We’re getting married today!’ They did pretty much everything themselves, then they’d look at each other and they would giggle.

But the two moms were taken off guard about how well Sullivan and Ella fell into their roles. At one point, while directing the two children to stand close for a shoot, Sullivan took the opportunity to do his own “proposal.”

”We put them side-by-side next to each other and Sullivan dropped down on one knee—we weren’t even ready and he popped right down!

When asked her favourite part in the special photo shoot, Breana said it was when Sullivan asked, “Can I propose to her?’” she recalled.

”Ella started giggling so hard. He put it on her pointer finger. They were excited to get married because both of their moms work in the wedding industry, which made it exciting for us to incorporate them into our world,” she said.

Breanna, 26, teamed up with Sullivan’s mom, Bria, 23, of Wolf & Rose Photography, after working together several times and knowing their children would get along.

”I would die of happiness if they got married in the future,” Breanna said with a laugh.

”They would run from one set to another set holding hands the whole time.”

Sullivan even stole an unprompted kiss from Ella that caught the two parents by surprise.

”We were telling them to get close and hug each other, and Sullivan being Sullivan—he’s a very in the moment kind of kid—he just went for a kiss,” Bria says.

”We just died laughing and Ella thought it was the funniest thing and she was just giggling. We thought it was cute.”

Though the two kids had a blast during their shoot. There has been a bit of online controversy as the story behind the photo shoot made the rounds on social media.

The moms heard from people who were angry that the children kissed, they even had Facebook commenters threaten to call Child Protective Services.

Defending themselves, the moms say that they did not ask the pair to kiss, and it was totally unprompted by Sullivan and Ella, who were just having fun.
