Serena Williams & Alexis Ohanian Secretly Begin Preparations for Their Big Day

American professional tennis player, Serena Williams got engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian at the end of 2016.

The couple then welcomed their first child, a baby girl in September 2017 (read here), and now it seems Serena and Ohanian have been privately preparing to make it all official by putting wedding plans in action.

The 36-year-old mom has her heart set on a romantic ceremony in New Orleans, and was seen taking a private jet with her millionaire entrepreneur husband-to-be to meet with a wedding planner in the Big Easy early Monday morning, Dailymail TV reports exclusively.

Serena, who has 23 Grand Slam titles to her name, and Alexis apparently spent an hour in a restaurant called Meril, along with their wedding planner where they discussed menu options for their big day.

The pair spent a day discussing plans and checking out venues before flying back to their home in Florida to  daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. before bed time.

Williams looked in great shape, so soon after the birth of her first child, who is six-week-old. She was spotted wearing black leggings and a black leather motorcycle jacket over a t-shirt emblazoned with the word ‘pretty,’ with the ‘r’ crossed out.

While their wedding date hasn’t been made public yet, their big day is speculated to take place sometime late this fall.

The couple got engaged in December last year after having only gone public with their relationship a couple of months before. They reportedly started dating in 2015.

At the time of their engagement, she wrote on her Reddit account:

”I came home. A little late. Someone had a bag packed for me. And a carriage waited. Destination: Rome.

To escort me to my very own ‘charming.’ Back to where our stars first collided. And now it was full circle. At the same table we first met by chance. ‘But by choice. Down on knee. He said 4 words. And I said yes.”

She later showed off her engagement ring at the Australian Open in January 2017, before announcing her pregnancy in April on Snapchat at 20 weeks.

Serena went into labour on September 1 and cleared an entire floor of a hospital to have a private birth.
