Nicki Minaj’s Brother Jelani Maraj Convicted of Raping His 11-Year-Old Stepdaughter

American superstar Nicki Minaj‘s brother has been found guilty of repeatedly raping his stepdaughter at his Long Island home..

According to TMZ, Jelani Maraj, will now be looking forward to spending 25-years in jail after Jurors on Thursday, the second day of deliberations, convicted him of predatory sexual assault against a child and also endangering the child’s welfare.

It was gathered that 38-year-old Jelani who will be sentenced on December 14, was accused by the now 14-year-old girl of assaulting her sexually, at least 4 times a week and sometimes twice a day when he’s alone with her.

DNA evidence recovered from the girl’s pajama pants by prosecutors was linked to Jelani, as the girl’s younger brother also testified at the trial that he witnessed one assault, Independent reports.

”We hope that today’s verdict will help the family in the healing process and that it will close this terrible chapter in their lives,” District Attorney Madeline Singas said.

Jelani’s lawyer said he will appeal. He contended the rape allegations were concocted by the girl’s mother as part of a scheme to get Nicki Minaj to pay the family $25 million in hush money, a claim prosecutors called absurd.

”The amount of evidence we have that wasn’t allowed in this case is unbelievable. I’ve never seen anything like it. I am shocked.”
