TyreseGibson has finally won his court battle over his 10-year-old daughter. A Los Angeles judge dismissed a domestic violence restraining order brought by his ex-wife NormaMitchell and said the parents will return to 50-50 custody of their daughter Shayla in January, PEOPLEreports.
“He feels great,” the source told The Daily News.
”The judge found the allegations that Gibson emotionally and physically battered his daughter were “100% unsubstantiated,” the source added.
Child services initially launched their investigation into Gibson after Norma — who was married to him from 2007 to 2009 — accused the actor of abusing their daughter on Aug. 19, alleging in court documents that the actor “pushed our daughter to the ground, pinned her face down, put his knees on her back, grabbed her hands with one arm and beat her with the other.”
She also alleged in court documents that her ex hit Shayla “between 12 and 16 times,” leading the child to allegedly later tell her mother that she couldn’t sit down due to pain.
Before closing the courtroom, Judge Shelley Kaufman said Mitchell’s allegations, were unrelated to Shayla and were all either “too remote in time” or failed to meet the burden of proof.
It was gathered that the American music star, grabbed tissues from a box and covered his crying face, while the judge read the first half of her two-part ruling.
Taking to Instagram to reveal how happy he was, Gibson thanked those who supported him throughout the legal battle, and further ripped his ex-wife apart for hating him so much and still retaining his surname.
“While waiting on the judgement I was broken and on edge and I overheard NoRMA and her lawyer in the courts room casually discussing getting their nails done?? They’ve been in court and have had no time for Nails?? Really?? That casual..??
