New mom Julia Stiles has a few choice words for mommy shamers scrutinizing her child raising skills.

The “10 Things I Hate About You” actress, who in November welcomed her first child with husband Preston J. Cook, posted a photo of her carrying baby Strummer Newcomb Cook, in a Tula baby carrier.

The post shows the first time mom, 36, supporting her son with a front pack while his face and feet were cautiously inside the baby holster.

Apparently, many experts in the field of parenting did not approve of the way the baby was being supported. Some moms sure did let the actress know in the nastiest way.

Stiles responded to the mommy-shamers with a follow-up post on Instagram.

Stiles captioned,

“…Wow. I didn’t expect that. What was supposed to be a shout out of products I like, suddenly becomes an invitation to comment on my baby, and my ability as a mother.”

Stiles said the posted photo “was supposed to be a shout out of products I like” and instead was turned into “an invitation to comment on my baby, and my ability as a mother.”

Knowing what to expect as an actress/celebrity, Stiles is not deterred by her public persona, she continues by posting,

“That’s the internet for you, the carnivorous plant from “Little Shop of Horrors”.”

Stiles ended her post by reminding us that there are many fun things to do rather than troll the Internet and submit comments about famous people.

“Instead of writing snarky comments about a five-week-old, try dancing around your living room to a Clash record. It’s way more fun.”

”It was brought to my attention that in the previous photo I am not holding my baby correctly.
Wow, I didn’t expect that. What was supposed to be a shout out of products I like, suddenly becomes an invitation to comment on my baby, and my ability as a mother.

That’s the internet for you, the carnivorous plant from “Little Shop of Horrors”. I was trying to keep much of my son’s image private, including, I guess, his little feet. And it was just a photo taken at home, not how I normally carry him around. Thanks for the concern, anyway.

Yes, Mothers, always read the safety instructions. But also, Instagrammers: instead of writing snarky comments about a 5 week old, try dancing around your living room to a Clash record. It’s way more fun.”

“No offense to the negative comments….but I’m quite sure the feet being inside and little Strummer’s face not being visible were deliberate,” one person said in Stile’s defense.

“Miss Julia is being gracious enough to give us a small peak at her beautiful baby boy and in all honesty doesn’t even have to do that. She covered him up as much as possible for the picture to promote the baby carrier…not to show off her son… Geez people, give the woman some credit.”

Julia and Cook- who got engaged on Christmas Eve in 2015 – announced the pregnancy earlier this year.

Before welcoming their bundle of joy, Stiles announced back in September that she had wed Cook, a camera assistant. The two met on the set of the 2015 film, “Go with Me.”
