Why Wife Set Husband’s House Ablaze a Month After Their Wedding

It has just been reported that a newly married woman identified as Aisha allegedly set her husband’s house in Birnin-Kebbi ablaze over his sudden decision.

The angry woman was said to have kicked against her husband’s polygamous wish that came in a month after they got married.

According to reports, when the husband whose name was given as Yenusa, told her of his plans to remarry, she didn’t object, but stated that he should at least wait for some time before he begins to harbour the thoughts of marrying a new wife.

The husband however refused to heed to the pleas of his wife and made known his intentions to go ahead with his plans.

A source revealed that the husband, living in the Badariya area, Birnin-Kebbi, lost his first wife last year and only married Aisha in February this year.

“Yunusa, who lost his first wife last year, married Aisha; but it seems that they are not on good terms. When her husband told her his intention to marry another woman, she got angry and set ablaze her husband’s house when he went out on Tuesday to his office,” the source said.

The reliable source also added that though nobody died in the inferno “most of the valuable properties belonging to the husband were burnt in the fire.”

It was gathered that family members came out to extinguish the inferno, and removed few of the husband’s property.
