Official Autopsy Reveals Cause of Late Singer/Mom, Alizee’s Death

The cause of death of Nigerian singer, Zainab Ali- Nielsen a.k.a Alizee which came as a shock to many, has been revealed.

It will be recalled that Alizee and her three-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Petra, were allegedly murdered on April 5 by the singer’s Danish husband, Peter Nielsen, in their residence at Bellasta Towers, Banana Island, Ikoyi.

Lawyers had claimed that Peter hit his wife’s head against the wall until she died, and then poisoned his daughter.

According to a report by Punch, the post-mortem examination conducted on the late Nigerian singer revealed that she died of trauma resulting from the injuries inflicted on her head.

At a press briefing on Monday, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal said,

“The autospy report revealed that Mrs. Zainab Nielsen suffered trauma as a result of the impact on her head.

Secondly, the forensic experts revealed that there were bloodstains from the couple’s bedroom to the kitchen. Even though they were cleverly wiped from the floor, they were still able to detect the stains with the application of special chemical reagents.

In addition, bloodstains were also discovered on the wash hand basins and on the hand towel the suspect used in wiping his hands after the commission of the offence.”

Alizee’s husband who was arraigned before a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Lagos on Wednesday last week, was remanded in Ikoyi Prison for reportedly killing his wife and their daughter.

It had been alleged that Nielsen, committed the murders, although he pleaded not-guilty in court.

The plea of the 53-year-old who was docked on two count charge of unlawful killing, was not taken by Chief Magistrate Kikelomo Ayeye, as he was reportedly taken to Ikoyi Prison following an application by the police.

Prosecuting counsel, Effiong Asuquo, tendered a three-page application, containing 15 grounds for Nielsen’s remand in prison.

“There is overwhelming forensic evidence linking the defendant to the assault and murder of his wife and daughter. Investigation has also shown that the defendant was habitually violent to his late wife, Zainab” he said.
