How Daughter of Nigerian Ambassador to Hungary, Dr. Eniola, Died At Grandfather’s Funeral
It is a time to mourn for the politician & proud mother of 3 beautiful children, Dr. Eniola Olaitan Ajayi, whose first daughter was called unto Glory in an untimely death.
According to reports gathered by the Lagos Times, Dr. Ajayi who is Nigeria’s new ambassador to Hungary lost her daughter at her own father’s burial set to hold at Iyin-Ekiti.
What was meant to be the day of farewell to the politicians father turned out to be what will go in history as the worst day of her life.
According to a report by Lagos Times, family and colleagues had on Friday trooped to Ekiti for the high octane burial ceremony of Pa Oluwatoyin Owolabi Ajayi who passed away on January 21.

All was going well at the high-class church ceremony which had minister of power and steel and Eniola’s mentor, Dr Kayode Fayemi in attendance.
Trouble started when the daughter of the former commissioner for education and environment in Ekiti state who had come down from America for the burial started to complain of headache.
All efforts to relieve her on the spot proved abortive and she had to be rushed to a private hospital where she sadly gave up the ghost.
As news of her demise filtered in, the news outlet gathered that all festivities at the burial ceremony came to a complete stop. The uplifting music being dished out from the bandstand by entertainer Yinka Ayefele was replaced with serious wailing and lamentations from the shocked guests.
The ambassador who also doubles as Nigeria’s representative to Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia is reported to have been badly shaken by the turn of events. She is still coming to terms with the painful loss, even as the body of her late daughter has been deposited at a morgue.
However, most of the guests that graced the truncated burial ceremony are still trying to make head or tail of a strange day that began with congratulations and ended with commiseration.
