Jordin Sparks and Husband Dana Isaiah Welcome First Child
R&B Singer, Jordin Sparks and husband Dana Isaiah are now parents!
The American Idol alum, 28, and her 25-year-old husband recently welcomed their first child, a son named Dana Isaiah Thomas Jr.
PEOPLE confirms that the couple welcomed the adorable child on May 2 at 9:04 p.m. at the Natural Birth Center & Women’s Wellness, Los Angeles; he weighed 8 lbs. 4.5 oz. and measured in at 21½ inches.
”It was miraculously beautiful,” Jordin tells PEOPLE of the birth.
“Dana caught him with my midwife, Simona, and when he handed him to me, I was absolutely overwhelmed with joy. He was and is everything we imagined.”

The new mother added:
“I’m feeling pretty good! I am so grateful for my husband and amazing team at the Natural Birthing Center. I don’t think I would be feeling this great without them!”
And the beautiful singer is looking forward to beginning her journey as a mother.
“I’ve always loved kids and knew that if given the blessing, that I would love and embrace it more than I realized. It’s only been a few days and I love it so much already!” Sparks says.
“The joy, laughter, scrapes and bruises…I can’t wait for it all!”
The Season 7 winner and her beau, a fitness enthusiast and model, went public with their relationship in July, last year the same month they tied the knot.
Jordin told People.com that she and her beau eloped on vacation in Hawaii, with just a few friends present, before she found out she was pregnant in late August.

The singer told the site that she’s ‘excited to accept every single curve’ of her changing body.
”I’ve always loved my curves. Now I have different ones and I’m excited about them,” shared the devoutly Christian artist.
”For the past month, it’s been this in-between stage where I’ve been taking a hair tie and clipping the hole of [my] jeans onto the little buckle,” she said.
