Extremely GRAPHIC: Man Kills Lover, Stuffs Her Corpse in a Bucket in Lagos | See Why

A man was apprehended after killing his 26-year-old live-in-lover, identified only as Joy and stuffing her body into a bucket covered in a sack.

It was gathered that Isaiah Chukwu, a spare parts dealer in Ladipo, Oshodi, and Joy, who are both indigenes of Ebonyi State, have been living together at their residence on Balogun Street, Oshodi for the past two years without formalising the relationship.

After killing his lover, Chukwu dragged the lifeless body around 4.a.m to the ground floor of the house en route to a dust bin when he was accosted by some area youths, Punchng reports.

Suspicious of the content in the sack, the youths reportedly questioned him and Chukwu told them that it was dirts.

An islamic cleric who was passing by, (probably going for their early morning prayers) was said to have opened the sack and discovered the dismembered remains of Joy.

This caused the mob to pounce on the suspect and beat him to a pulp before the arrival of the police.

According to a neighbour, Chukwu had declared the victim missing some days earlier before he was caught with the corpse. Narrating further, the neighbour said;

“When people went to the room after the woman’s corpse was discovered, the whole apartment was filled with perfume,” the trader said.

Some friends of the deceased said Joy adored Chukwu and spoke fondly of him. One of them said;

“They don’t fight. In fact, people always envied their relationship”.

Giving more details of Joy’s tragic death, police report confirmed that Joy was stabbed in the back with a knife which has been recovered. It was also revealed that Chukwu murdered his lover over a suspicion of infidelity.

”We recovered a knife which he used for the crime and four mobile phones from the house. Although investigations are ongoing, we suspect it had to do with suspicion of infidelity.

The man said he had called her when he travelled and a man picked the call. He said the man queried him (Chukwu) for disturbing his wife.”

The suspect, who spoke briefly, confirmed the source’s account. He said;

”I travelled on Thursday. I called my wife around 11pm to know how she was faring. We exchanged pleasantries. Around 11.45pm, I called again, but she did not pick her calls. I called about 10 times, but she did not pick. Then I heard a man’s voice.”

In a new post, a man, Nnaji Michael Offor, who claims to be a relative of Joy took to his Facebook page to mourn her. Offor, in his post revealed that Isaiah had last month visited their home to pay Joy’s bride price.

Since yesterday pictures and videos have been circulating the internet about a young man who murdered his “girlfriend”. She was no longer a girlfriend as her BRIDE PRICE WAS JUST PAID LAST MONTH AND OZOEMENA JUST RETURNED TO LAGOS WITH THE GUY. The deceased was my sister from Umuayom, Umuobeye, Nkalaha in Ishielu local government area of Ebonyi State where we were both born and brought up .

The last post she made on Facebook was on the 16th of this month with her username, Nina Joy-Seraph. The first child of her parents. The last time I travelled to the village , I did ask her mother about her and she said she was fine.
My peace has eluded me. I cannot articulate my thought. For a certain lady who is busy peddling the rumour that the deceased (Oz) wrecked the guy financially and wanted to jilt him , I need to tell you that Oz’s bride price was paid recently and she was brutally killed by the guy for what from every indication was for ritual purpose.

Pray neither you nor your sisters will be a victim of this kind of horror. I can recall how this girl went with her poor mother to work on people’s farms to make ends meet. She had her secondary education at the only secondary school in our village. Her mother had lost so many children before her birth, hence the name Ozoemena which means let another one not happen, given to her.

How will I get over this ???? This cannibalism ….. I feel like writing on materialism and human absurdism. I feel like attacking certain greedy and desperate cowards called men who make ladies their sacrificial lambs but I cannot get my words. Oz, rest in peace. This Nkalaha blood which also flows through my veins that was shed like that of a ceremonial ram must not go unavenged. Good Night, my blood ………”
