Dear MIMsters: I Am Tired But Worried About What Her Life Would Become If She’s Back In the Streets

I am tired but worried about what her life would become if I send this girl I saw in the streets away. I met this girl in the streets suffering from bilateral congenital cataract and extreme poverty with no education.

I took pity on her, found her parents and adopted her. I spent a lot of money, energy and time to get the eyes corrected and sent her back to school. Now one eye is working fine, remaining one which I intend to operate on soon.
The problem is her behavior is heartbreaking. She is 12 years old with big breasts and pubic hairs. She leaves her mouth wide open while sleeping and even while awake and saliva gushes out of it unknowingly. My house smells badly especially in the mornings when she wakes up because of the saliva. I can’t help it than to plead with her to brush her teeth first thing in the morning and forbid her from getting close to foods.
Note: She is mentally stable but she talks without control to people she doesn’t know. She can meet someone for the first time and tell you what she ate, what I wore, where I am going to, and who visited my home, etc and I know this is not safe.
Due to this, I always beg her to stay indoors. But as soon as I go to work, she will come out play and go back inside before I return from work. I have begged her, advised her, shouted at her, flogged her, played with her, told her the implications of the act, yet she does the same thing. The new style now is that she lies like mad even when caught red handed.
I am tired but I am scared of what her life will become if I send her out. Please I need help.

  • wow! you have really done a great job and kudos to you, but your best is not enough you can still do better, may be you should take her for counselling or book a date with a psychology it will help her alot. Also, dont forget to show her the way of the Lord. shalom.
