Intriguing: See Victoria Secret Model, Candice Swanepoel’s Clap-Back At Her Body-Shamers

It is so unfair to set body-shape standards for new-moms and expect them to live up to them; especially unrealistic standards.

According to medical science, some hormones that ‘messes’ with a woman’s body shape are released during pregnancy, which explains the change in her body shape during that period.

Sometimes, some women are able to go back to their former body shape while some are not… Whatever happens to a woman’s body shape after childbirth, must not be used against her.

Twelve days post-partum, Mom-Of-2 and South African model and philanthropist best known for her work with Victoria’s Secret, Candice Swanepoel has been served what no woman deserves most especially, a new mom.

In response to those body-shaming her, Swanepoel posted her pictures and gave a resounding clap-back.

See below:

”This is me 12 days after having my son. If you have something bad to say about it… check yourself. Society can be so cruel to one another. Beauty standards are sometimes impossible for women these days.

I’m not ashamed to show my post-partum tummy. I am proud actually… I carried my son for 9 months in there, I think I’ve earned the right to have a little tummy.”

Swanepoel, who is also the founder of Tropic of C swimwear stated further:

“Is it because I’m a model? Well, we are normal people too so let me enjoy the beach in peace please.”

In a second post, she posted a follow-up photo taken right before she gave birth. The beautiful mother added that she refuses to hide her post-baby body just because society has created “unrealistic standards of women.”

“I don’t have to hide my stomach just because people have unrealistic standards of woman. We create life.. what can you do? Ladies we are all in this together be kind to each other.”
