Member Of House Of Representatives And Mom-Of-1, Hon. Omosede Igbinedion ‘Gifts’ Her Son A $20k (N7.2M) Cartier Diamond Watch For His 9th Birthday
Honourable Omosede Igbinedion, is in the news again and you can almost guess why. The house of Representatives member needs little or no introduction. She is the beloved daughter of Esama of Benin Kingdom and billionaire businessman, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion.
The mom-of-1 is known for one thing- extravagant spending on her only child which she never fails to show off. Last year, Omosede Igbinedion was criticized severely by parents for coming to pick her son, Prince Alexander Igbinedion- Akenzua from school with a Rolls Royce (read here).
She took to her social media page to narrate the scenario. According to the Nigerian barrister, other mothers who came to pick their children caused a scene in the school premises.
Hon. Omosede Igbinedion, representing Ovia South/West-Ovia North/East in the Green Chamber, is in the news again. She had a unique gift for her son for his 9th birthday.
Hon. Omosede who celebrated his son’s birthday in New York, United States; with friends and family members, presented a diamond Cartier wristwatch made by luxury designer, Malivelihood allegedly a gift from the birthday boy’s billinaire grandpa.
According to findings, the luxury gift is valued at $20k ( N7.2M).

Alexander is a product of a two-year-old crashed marriage between the Hon. and a Benin Prince, Aven Akenzua. Although the reason for the separation is being kept as a top secret, a palace source who craved anonymity said the marriage probably crashed on the ground that the ancestors as epitomised by the Oba of Benin never gave their support and blessings as required by Benin tradition.
In what appeared to be a total disregard to the apparently disapproval of the Benin monarch to the marriage, Chief Igbinedion and Enogie Uyieken (the younger brother of the Oba of Benin, His Royal Highness, Oba Erediauwa) gave their son and daughter in an uncommon colourful royal traditional/church wedding on December 31, 2008 and January 5, 2009 respectively.
Consequently, the marriage was said to have triggered unprecedented vexation in Benin Kingdom as Oba Erediauwa eventually drew a battle line against his younger brother for daring to discard his advice.
