The emotions experienced in motherhood are complicated; as such, it is safely safe to refer to it as a “pack of emotional roller coaster.” American professional tennis star, Serena Jameka Williams has revealed that she’s been struggling with postpartum emotions and wants other new moms to know that if they are going through the same emotions, they are “totally normal.”

This comes just a week after the 23-time Grand Slam champion suffered the greatest defeat of her career, a “6-1, 6-0” loss to Johanna Konta in San Jose, California, last Tuesday.

In an emotional Instagram post on Monday, the 36-year-old mom of an adorable baby girl, Alexis Olympia Ohanian revealed she was in a bit of a “funk” last week, and this was because, lately, she’s been feeling guilty.
