After the Recent Death of their Son, D’banj Releases and Dedicates New Song To Wife, Lineo Didi Kilgrow

Talk about gaining strength and courage, and passing same to your loved one through where your strength lies. Nigerian award winning musician, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, 38, popularly known as D’banj who lost his 13-months-old son, ‘Daniel The Third’ about two months ago has just released a song and he dedicated it to his wife, Lineo Didi Kilgrow.

D’banj made great use of where his strength lies to pass strength and courage to his wife, in their trying time.

The song he titled ‘Letter To My Wife’ talks about their recent ordeal, how much he loves her and how he will always stand by her; no matter what happens.

The ‘Kokomaster’ crooner also reassured her that together they will pass every test that they pass through. Writing on his Instagram page, D’banj said:

”Together We Will Pass Every Test That We Pass Through. This Is For You My ❤️#WhatYouWant #LetterToMyWife #Everything #MamaDaniel 8/8/18.”

D’banj and wife suffered a devastating loss on June 25, 2018; when their son and only child, Daniel Oyebanjo III died after drowning in a swimming pool at their family residence in Ikoyi (read here).

D’Banj was away in Los Angeles for the BET Awards when the tragic incident happened and at the time, Lineo was reportedly placed on suicide watch as insiders alleged she couldn’t stop crying since the tragedy.

The couple got married on Saturday, June 2, 2016; in a very private wedding (registry and traditional) that only nuclear family members of the couple were in attendance.

D’Banj had maintained sealed lips until May, 2017; when he announced the birth of their son in the United States.

Speaking after the tragedy, the DB Records Boss, thanked everyone who extended hands of support towards his family through an Instagram post:

”The past few weeks have been incredibly trying and difficult, but God’s love has kept me and my family going. I can’t thank my team enough and the incredible love from you all. May God keep us all. #StrongerTogether’…🙏🙏

We want to use this medium to thank everyone that has extended a hand of support to us during this period. On behalf of myself and my family, we are awed by the demonstration of love and care from both near and afar.
