Keeping Hope Alive: This Dad Deserves An Accolade For Doing

American dad, Kenny Thomas had his 1-year-old child, Kristan born with Down Syndrome and a blood disorder. The fragile child was then diagnosed with leukemia around mid 2018, but his dad is helping him keep hope alive in an unlikely way.

In all these, dad, Kenny Thomas stepped up like a real champ. His son was admitted to the hospital where he ended up spending 32 days for treatment.

What is really sensational about this dad is not just that he is caring for his child, but over the course of Kristen’s chemotherapy treatments, Kenny would dance to cheer his baby.

The father of four who is the head choreographer and artistic director of the Level Dance Complex, Pennsauken, New Jersey told Good Morning America that music is therapeutic for Kristan.

“…he’s always calm when music is on and when someone is dancing”

In the viral video that brought the beautiful story of Kristan and the world, Kenny can be seen dancing spiritedly to singer, Ciara’s Level Up for his baby who looked on.

He said

” I started dancing like maybe about day ten for him.

I honestly didnt have anything else to do,

being stuck at the hospital for so long and not being at my studio.

I decided to just do some dancing to cheer him up,

keep him happy, keep the positive vibes going,

and you know his numbers went up, and then song came out and I just decided to do the song.”

Since the video went viral around July, this year, Ciara has paid a visit to Kristan at the hospital, the heartwarming video has been viewed over 2.5 million times.
