Singer And Mum-Of-Two Lami Phillips Cautions Newlyweds About Giving Marital Advice

Singer and mum-of-two, Lami Phillips has weighed in on the social media frenzy over the controversy rocking the marriage of star actor and actress, Gbenro and Osas Ajibade.

Lami’s comment comes after media personality Shade Ladipo made many undisguised comments in response to Gbenro’s social media rant about his wife and marriage.

As part of her many reactions, Shade who got married a few months back advised women in an Instagram post to not “marry down” and also called the actor and dad-of-one, “the true definition of a weak man”.

Lami, in a new post suspected to be informed by Shade’s overt comments cautioned newlyweds on offering marital advice, saying they still have a lot to learn and endure before they can even begin to teach others.

She wrote:

”Dear newlywed, don’t be quick to expose your marriage..

let it cook first before serving it.. also..

hold back “marital advice” for a while.. get some work experience before you teach.

Every marriage is unique, no b 1 size fits all.”

Gbenro after his outburst which has provoked a lot of backlash has kept mum, his actress wife and mother of their child, Osas, has not said a word either.
