Nigeria’s First Professional Super Model, Yemi Fawaz Is Dead
Yemi Fawaz dies at 64. History has it that the delectable super model pioneered professional modelling in Nigeria.
Fawaz who was once quoted to have said she could never marry a poor man, started her modeling career and became a professional super model in the late 70s. She also established a modeling school and kick started a lot of firsts in the fashion industry before she jetted out of the country to seek for greener pastures outside the shores of Nigeria in 1997.

The mom-of-1 who returned to the country in 2016; was reported to have been battling colon cancer for a while. She was also said to have had a hole in the heart and her kidney had started to fail. Sadly, the woman who is survived by her 33-year old daughter, passed away on February 20, 2019; at New York Lenox Hill Hospital, USA.
