Inspiring Story And Transformation Pictures Of Boy, Promise Ubong Labelled Witch

The story of a young boy, Promise Ubong, who was allegedly abandoned by his parents and maltreated by his aunt is the perfect reminder to keep faith in humanity alive. Promise, whose lucky day with fate came on the 10th day of January 2019, caught the attention of Ms Peace Ntuk, the Supervisor for Health and social welfare in Ikot Abasi LGA of Akwa Ibom state.

According to reports, little Promise was severely maltreated by his grand aunt, and labelled a witch after he survived extreme inhumane conditions, including severe starvation, manhandling, abandonment, malnourishment and rejection which were meant to cause death.

The boy’s plight was first brought to social media by one Endurance Johnson, Ntuk who then learnt of it swung into action and rescued the traumatised Promise.

She took the child to the General Hospital in Ikot Abasi, paid for his initial treatment and bought him clothes. Prominent people in the state were then contacted including Mrs. Martha Udom, the Akwa Ibom First Lady who later adopted the child.

Only four months after, the lean Promise has transformed greatly; his past is behind him and he is thriving. Another proof how far the human race can go with a little love.

Sharing new photos of the transformed boy, Ntuk wrote the following on her Facebook page:

BORN TO LIVE!

Gratitude to God almighty for the gift of life.
I want to say a very big thank you to Her Excellency Deaconess Martha Udom Emmanuel. A God fearing woman, a philanthropist, a mother to all, especially the less privileged

I want to specially appreciate the Coordinator FEYReP, and everyone involved
And also to the first lady of ikot abasi LGA, God bless you.

The story of the little boy (Promise) whom i rescued some months ago and handed over to FEYReP baffles me, how he has grown healthier within a very short period of time, which indicates he is properly taken care of

I must confess, FEYReP is a God sent foundation. They keep saving lives. I’m so grateful. God bless the first lady of Akwa ibom state, the coordinator feyrep, and all of us who in our litle capacity did our best to make sure the boy live

Hon. Peace Ntuk

and social welfare
