Hollywood Star, Taraji P. Henson Moves Her Step-Mum To Tears After Gifting Her A Big Reward
Empire star and mum-of-one, Taraji P. Henson, 48, obviously shares a cosy relationship with her step-mother Angie, whom she says deserves her gratitude for making her father a better man and helping him find himself. According to the actress, Angie stepped into her father’s life when he was a homeless man, and the actress was only a 16-year-old girl.

Tarjis’s dad and Angie enjoyed a beautiful marriage until her father’s tragic passing 13 years ago. On Tuesday, the power actress took the opportunity of the annual Mothers Day celebration to surprise her step-mum and show gratitude by giving her home a makeover, to thank her for her support 13 years after her father Boris’ tragic passing.
Explaining why it was important to show her gratitude, Taraji said:
‘I met my step mom when I was 16. She just made my dad a better man. My dad was just lost.
He was homeless at one time when I was really young.
She stepped into his life and she was everything he needed.
I was so happy. I just loved her right away.
After seeing the house, Angie and Taraji shared an emotional moment together as the actress said:
‘Although everything is new, it still feels familiar. The essence is here but we just dressed it up.
‘Love was put into this place and you can feel it. I’m blessed to have two moms.
She never treats me like a stepdaughter, ever. And I love her.’
