Nollywood Veteran Liz Benson Ameye Talks Marriage, When To Walk Away, Sex Education & The Girl Child On Mercy’s Menu | WATCH

In a new episode of “Mercy’s Menu”, one of your favourite Nollywood stars and cooking show host, Mercy Johnson Okojie had veteran actress, mom and grandma Liz Benson Ameye, whose wealth of wisdom wowed her in the kitchen.

The two cool moms and actresses got together to make plantain and pepper sauce while they also talked about marriage, Sex education & the Girl Child and more.

“It was an enlightening experience, we talked about marriage, sex education, safety for the girl child and more. The food was sweet, but the conversation was definitely sweeter…” the mum of 3 disclosed on her weekly show.

On marriage and when to walk away:

”Marriage should be for better for worse but when certain things come into play like violence that cannot be cultured, stopped, then I think it is better to get out and stay somewhere and be alive than be in there and lose your life.”

Advice for married couple:

”There is no perfect couple, no perfect husband or wife. What couples should do is come together and work at it, work at the relationship in the marriage. I tell people, if you can work at other things and other areas of your live, your marriage also as a couple you should put in the effort to work something out of it.

If you catch your spouse committing adultery, the next step is not to work out or leave the marriage but to draw that power that is inside of you, treat the issue in a more wise way, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.”
