British Singer & Mum, Adele Laurie, Sparks Public Concern Over Her Dramatic Weight Loss

British superstar singer and mum, Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, more popularly known as Adele has sparked mixed reactions after she showed off her dramatic weight loss. The singer’s transformation has shocked a lot of people and new photos of the singer have led to conversations across social media platforms as people express concern for her wellness.

One fan tweeted;

“Adele sweetie, blink twice if you need help.”

The 31-year-old was pictured holidaying in Anguilla with singer, Harry Styles and other mutual friends. As soon as the photos hit the internet, people began commenting on Adele’s unbelievably slimmer physique.

While some opined that she looked better when she was thicker and that the weight loss makes her look sick; others said she’s better off slim.

Also, shedding the pounds never seemed to be a priority for the recently divorced mum-of-one. Adele has always insisted that she isn’t at all “insecure” about her appearance after shooting to fame in 2008.

She even revealed that she’d refuse to work with anybody who had an issue with her size, telling People magazine at the time:

“Even when I was signing a contract, most of the industry knew if anyone ever dared say: ‘Lose weight’ to me, they wouldn’t be working with me.”

She showed similar spirit in 2009, telling the Daily Mail:

“I can’t be a product; no one can do that to me. I have all the say; I have power over everything I do.”

In 2012, Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld blasted Adele as “a little too fat”, with the defiant singer replying at the time that she is “very proud” of her appearance, adding: “Weight has nothing to do with my career.”
