Here’s Why Celebrity Mum, Princess Love Has Just Filed For Divorce From Husband, Ray J, Four Months After Welcoming Their Second Child
Mum-of-two, Princess Love filed for divorce from husband, Ray J this Tuesday, after four years of marriage and months living apart. The 35-year-old, who rose to fame on reality TV Show; Love And Hip Hop, made the filing in Los Angeles Superior Court, TMZ reported.
To many, Princess filing for a divorce is not completely unforeseen. During her second pregnancy in November 2019, the couple had an explosive fight in Las Vegas, and they had conflicting accounts of what happened. Princess accused Ray of abandoning her and their first child, Melody in Las Vegas to go to a strip club and also refusing to pick his phone calls when she tried to reach him. She was about 8-months gone with her second pregnancy at the time. Ray J insisted he did not abandon them but his arguments fell on deaf ears.
Since that major fight, there’s been a lot of drama between the couple with Princess making it clear that she would file a divorce from the singer in due time.
The birth of their son in January and Ray J going all out to fill their Beverly Hills condo with thousands of roses last Valentine was not enough to save their marriage as it crashed this week.
Princess Love stopped wearing her wedding ring and threatened divorce at that time. Both admit the divorce is going to be tough on them
A rep for the couple told PEOPLE:
“It’s a very difficult time for both Princess and Ray J and we are asking that we just let them have their privacy as they work through and deal with this very trying situation.”
Princess and Ray J got married in 2016 at The Cathedral Of St. Vibiana, a Catholic church in Los Angeles.
The estranged couple share two children, a one-year-old daughter called Melody and a four-month-old son called Epik.
