Teenager to serve time for stealing eight tubers of yam
Anything can happen! According to YNaija’s Damilola Jagun, an 18-year-old man, Joshua Fagbolade, has been remanded in prison for stealing eight tubers of yam and two pieces of coco-yam, valued at N15,000. This happened at Ota Magistrate Court in Ogun State.
The accused reportedly committed the offence on Tuesday, 7 October at about 5.00 p.m., behind a popular FCMG company in the state.
According to the prosecution, Fagbolade had stolen the farm produce belonging to a certain Edwin Ewa.
The teenager pleaded guilty to the charge. The Chief Magistrate ordered that he be kept behind bars pending sentence which holds tomorrow.
