You Won’t Believe Where A School Took Students To On A Field Trip
A private school in Minneapolis, Gaia Democratic School, took their students on a field trip to a sex toy shop without their parents’ consent. Following the school’s lack of discretion, many disgusted parents withdrew their children from the school which previously had a low enrollment of only 25 students.
One of the parents with kids aged 9, 11, and 13, who wrote a letter claimed his kids were traumatized by what they saw and heard at the store.
“We feel that the bond of trust between parent and educator has been irrevocably damaged,” one disgusted parent wrote in a letter to the school, according to Local 8 News Knoxville.
In their defense, the school says the trip was the finale of a month-long sex education program.
A Minneapolis license and zoning inspector said the toy sex shop violated the laws by allowing minors into the store with explicit materials in plain view and not in a separate area, or even covered up.
The school is yet to disclose to parents why the field trip was done without prior authorization.
