FAMILY RECIPE: Burrito

This is one recipe I make a lot. I usually make in large quantities and store in the freezer. One of my go-to food when I’m too tired to cook either lunch/dinner.

Ingredients
700 g minced meat
2 medium size red onions (chopped)
3 garlic clove (chopped) – optional
3 tbsp cooking oil
1 tsp pepper (or black pepper)
3 dl rice (half cooked)
Tortilla bread (pack)
1 tbsp all purpose seasoning (optional)
Seasoning mix (2 packs)
1 tspn salt
3 dl water
Cheese slices (optional)

Preparation

Preheat oven 150 °C. Fry onion, garlic and meat on medium heat. Add pepper, salt and seasoning. Allow to cook until meat is almost tender. Stir in water and seasoning mix. Allow to cook for a minute and stir in the rice.
Reduce heat and allow to cook for 10 minutes. Fill the tortilla bread with the mixture and wrap. Place a slice of cheese on each wrap and bake in oven for 15 minute or until cheese melt or is slightly brown. Serve warm with fresh salad and salsa sauce.
