FAMILY RECIPE: Lasagne & Salad

Hey, mums! You can never go wrong with this yummy combination. Salads are great for keeping your weight down as they contain very little carbs.

You’ll Need
400 g minced meat
4 large tomatoes (chopped or canned crushed tomatoes)
1 large onion (chopped)
1 bell pepper (chopped- optional)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tspn olive
Shredded cheese
1 tsp black pepper
2 dl light cooking cream (optional)
4-5 dl milk
3 garlic cloves (chopped -optional)
All purpose seasoning
2 tbsp tomato puree
I tsp dried oregano (optional)
A pack of lasagne sheets (300g+)
Baking dish
Salt

How to prepare
Pre heat oven 220°C. Fry onion and garlic with 2 tbsp oil until lightly cooked. Add chopped tomatoes and black pepper. Allow to cook on medium heat for 5 minutes. Add minced meat and some seasoning to taste. Let it cook until meat is tender and stir in cooking cream and tomatoe puree. Let it cook for 3 minutes and add bell pepper and oregano. Allow to cook for 3-5 minutes.

Greese your baking dish with the remaining olive oil and pour a little of the milk in the bottom and cover with lasagne sheets. Spread a little of the meat sauce over the sheet and cover with another layer of the lasagne sheet. Repeat the process until you have about 3-4 layers in your baking dish and cover the top layer with ONLY the sauce. Pour the rest of the milk on it and bake in oven for 35-45 minutes or until lightly brown on the top and bubbling. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the lasagne and turn off the oven immediately cheese melt. Allow to cool down for 10-15 minutes and serve with fresh salad.
