How Woman Was Arrested For Defrauding Barren Women Of Millions
A 62-year-old woman, Celina Etomi, who claimed to be a doctor capable of helping barren women become pregnant through In -Vitro fertilization (IVF) has been arrested by the Edo State Police Command, after duping four childless women of the sum of N7, 831,000 million.
According to ThisDay, Etomi asked her victims the number and sex of children they would love to have and they responded with some saying they wanted twins, triplets and quadruplets.
Etomi’s lies caught up with her when she collected N900, 000 from a family to treat their daughter who is blind and has a malignant brain tumor. The police stated that the family and other victims reported the incident after they discovered that they were not responding to treatment.
Etomp who claimed she worked for a British-owned hospital based in Ondo State was arrested at her hideout in Saint Saviour Street in Benin City, Edo State.
Police investigations revealed that Etomp administered drugs and injections on her victims that made their stomach swell up as if they were pregnant but after some months, medical reports showed that was not the case.
The police have stated that Etomi will soon be charged to court once they are done with their investigation.
All manner of these people do for money..people need to wise & be patience in this issue of waiting.
