EXPOSED! Footage Shows Mother Who Dropped ‘Baby Jesus’ At Church Nativity Scene

Surveillance footage has shown the mother of the baby abandoned at a nativity scene at a church, reports Inside Edition. The baby still had his umbilical cord attached when he was found in a manger in a crèche at the Holy Child Jesus Church in Queens, New York (read here).

The footage which came from a nearby convenience store shows her buying towels before the child was found.

The baby was found swaddled in the purchased towels by custodian Jose Moran. Moran says,

“I followed the cries. I couldn’t believe my eyes. The baby was wrapped in towels. He still had his umbilical cord. He was next to the Virgin (Mary). The baby is beautiful. They call him baby Jesus.”

The priest at the church, Father Christopher Heanue, said that staff called 911 and the baby was taken to a nearby hospital. Emergency responders gave the 5lb 2oz boy a clean bill of health. It is believed he was found about five hours after his birth. The priest said,

“The beautiful thing about this is that the crèche was put up earlier than it was supposed to be. God works in his own way, that this mother would come into the church and see the perfect crèche and put this baby (in it).”

He further revealed that members of his church had shown interest in the abandoned child.

“There are people in the parish who would love to adopt the child. They believe as I do, this child was left in the church for a reason. So we would all like to see the child stay within the church.”

The mother has been interviewed by officials, and won’t be prosecuted after a determination was made that she had “followed the spirit of New York’s ‘Safe Haven’ Law,’” said Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
