Police Rescue Samson Siasia’s Abducted Mum

Nigeria’s Under 23 coach, Samson Siasia can now heave a sigh of relief as his aged mum, Mrs Ogere Siasia, who was kidnapped two weeks ago (read here) has reportedly been rescued by the police.

Bayelsa State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Butswat Asinim, who confirmed the report, said she was abandoned by her abductors along the East West Road following hot pursuit by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Police Command.

He added that she is hale and hearty and has been reunited with her family while efforts are being intensified to nab the fleeing suspects.
