Pregnant Woman in Critical Condition Following Severe Assault By Husband
A 6-months pregnant woman mum of two in Kenya is reportedly in critical condition at the Langata Hospital following severe battery by her husband on Monday.
In a graphic video shared by Kenyan photojournalist cum-activist, Boniface Mwangi, the pregnant woman receives slaps and punches outside their home as another man looked on. She is later seen panting with her entire face and floor covered with blood.
She was rushed to hospital by neighbours following the brutal attack.

According to Nairobi News, the woman said, “I walked in from the shop and found my husband taking pictures of our house hold items with his friend and when I inquired what they were doing that is when he started beating me.”
She added that this is not the first time he severely assaulted her, claiming that in 2015, she was admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital after being stabbed by her husband.
Langata OCPD, Elijah Maina, said the man was arrested on Monday but released on bail on Tuesday as the victim’s family, including her father, two other men and SouthLands Community Chairman requested for his release because they wanted him to cater for the hospital bill.
