Primary School Pupils Run Home After Eating Free Meal in Kaduna
Pupils in Kaduna State reportedly left school immediately after eating the free meal provided by the state government on Monday, 14th of March.
Revealing they ran back home in the guise of going to drink water, the State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Shehu Adamu, emphasised that the programme was introduced to encourage school enrollment, attendance and retention, adding that the government was disturbed by the actions of the pupils. He appealed to parents to help the government achieve the goal of the programme by ensuring their children remained in school after taking the free meal.
The state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, had flagged-off the School Feeding Programme on January 18 to provide free breakfast to pupils across the state.
They must be forced to be educated o, cos they need to change their mindset. The Feeding Programme should be change to Lunch time
