See How Woman Tracked, Fell in Love & Married Her Anonymous Sperm Donor

Aminah Hart, an Australian woman who had her child through IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) has tied the knot with the man who donated his sperm, after tracking him down and falling in love with him.

Aminah and Scott Anderson, the anonymous sperm donor, met each other in 2013, a year after their daughter, Leila was born.

According to DAILYMAIL, Aminah had decided to go through IVF after she lost her two sons to a genetic disorder called X-linked myotubular myopathy.

The 45-year-old mum who was prepared for motherhood originally selected Scott from five possible donors because he listed himself as ”happy and healthy”.

On August 14, 2012, Aminah delivered a baby girl weighing a ‘big and healthy’ 3.9 kilos which made the mum feel relieved but unhappy as she thought about the child growing up without a father.

Helen, Aminah`s mother then went online to search for Anderson and was able to find a picture of him. She also encouraged her daughter to get in touch with the clinic where the sperm was donated so they could pass on her information in case he wanted to see a photo of his child. Luckily for them, Anderson had already indicated he was willing to meet the child.

After their meeting, they fell in love and Anderson proposed to her on her late son`s birthday.

She told DailyMail, ‘He went out to get milk with Leila and came back with an engagement ring, which was a real surprise because usually I spent the anniversaries of their death and birthdays having a quiet day.’

A year later, the two tied the knot in a very low key wedding in front of 130 guests in Sorrento, Victoria.

Leila, who initially told Anderson ”you can`t marry my mum” was caught up with being her mum`s flower girl.

Aminah said she was so glad to give her friends and family who have been very supportive and given her more reasons to celebrate.

Anderson thanked his mother-in-law, who started the process of their meeting, in an emotional speech.
