See Why Man Allegedly Strangled Wife to Death On Wedding Night

A man who got angry after discovering on his wedding night that his young bride was not a virgin has strangled her to death.

The young bride, 17, was allegedly murdered by her husband on the night of their wedding in a suspected case of ‘Honour Killing’ in Jacobabad, Pakistan.

According to the Express Tribune/Pakistan, the deceased, Khanzadi, got married to her cousin, Qalandar Bux Khokhar, who reportedly strangled wife to death, the night before her corpse was found in her bedroom in ADC Colony. The suspect, was no where to be found.

The deceased mother, following the failure to get a response from the couples house the morning after the wedding, informed the police, who forcefully gained entry into the their home, with the help of the victim’s brother, Ali Sher. When they entered the house, they saw the lifeless body of the bride on the body but the husband was not found.

Meanwhile, several reports gathered in the area claimed that the suspect strangled wife to death because she was ‘not a virgin’, while others claim that a heated argument erupted between the newly-wed couple regarding a delay in the wedding ceremony due to certain customs.

The area police have carried out several raids but have failed to make any arrests.
