PHOTOS: Modern Day Slavery! See What A Man Did To A 7-Year-Old Boy In Zaria
A mallam allegedly shackled a boy’s legs in Zaria, the Northern part of the country in what appears to be a case of modern day slavery.
According to Henry Moses, an Instagram user, who shared the images on social media, of a young ‘Almajiri’ boy, the boy pictured is aged between 7 and 8, and was spotted with shackles on his legs.
When he saw the ‘Almajiri’ boy on the street, with shackles on his legs, he then asked him what happened and who did that to him.

The boy said his Mallam chained his legs so that he would not go out.
This incident happened in Zaria, close to Ahmadu Bello University, where Moses attends school.
In Nigeria, Almajiri is any child or adult who begs for assistance in the streets or from house to house.
