One of the five Dallas DART police officers shot dead by snipers during a peaceful protest against police brutality has been identified.

Five US police officers are confirmed dead and seven are injured after shooters opened fire during the protests about the two African-American men who were shot by White policemen.

The Sun reports that the officer identified as Patrick Zamarripa was shot dead while working at the Texas rally last night.
