Horror! See Why Man Stabbed Pregnant Neighbour To Death

A man in his thirties, identified as Hussain Zubairu, has been arrested by the Kogi State police for allegedly stabbing his pregnant neighbour to death.

According to Punch, Zubairu stabbed the pregnant woman, Bose Muhammed, in her stomach with a pair of scissors. She was later rushed to the hospital but died shortly after.

Sources told Punch that an altercation ensued between the suspect and his victim after Muhammed had warned him not to meddle in a discussion about mobile phones that she was having with her friend. He became angry and stabbed the woman with a pair of scissors.

According to a police source, some residents of the Idogido community of Okene Local Government Area of the state, where both the suspect and victim lived, described him as violent while others claimed he was on drugs.

The source said, “Many residents within that area said he was a drug addict but that has not been confirmed. I learnt the woman had always been trying to avoid him because he was troublesome. On that day, the victim and her friend were chatting and he interrupted.”

He further said, “She told him to mind his business and that infuriated him. He removed a pair of scissors he hid in his trousers, stabbed her in the stomach and fled. The woman lost a lot of blood. She was pronounced dead on getting to the hospital. She was pregnant, but was not living with her husband.”

The suspect was thereafter arrested by detectives from the Okene Police Division and the deceased was buried according to Islamic rites, sources say.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Kogi State Police Command, Willy Aya, who confirmed the incident, said the case had been transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation. He added that the suspect would be charged to court when investigations have been concluded

He said, “The suspect and the deceased were neighbours. There was an argument between them. A friend of the deceased lost a mobile phone, which she later found.

“The friend was discussing the issue with the deceased when the suspect interrupted. She challenged him for doing so and it degenerated into an argument. In the process, the suspect used a pair of scissors to stab her. Before she was rushed to the hospital, she died. The case has been transferred to the SCID and the suspect will be charged to court soon.”
