Horror! Man Ties His 3 Year Old Stepbrother With A Stone And Drowns Him In Ebonyi
A 25-year-old man known as Ogobuchi Ogbonna, was yesterday remanded in prison custody for causing the death of his 3-year-old stepbrother identified as Wisdom Ogbonna Amagu in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, on September, 9, 2016.
According to New Telegraph, Ogobuchi allegedly tied a stone to Wisdom’s waist and threw him into a stream at Ndievor–Nchoko, Igbeagu community in Izzi LGA.
The unfortunate incident occurred on Sunday while the boy’s body was found inside the stream yesterday.
Information gathered revealed that Wisdom got missing on Sunday afternoon, forcing his parents and villagers to raise the alarm. A search party was subsequently organised by the villagers to no avail.
Later, Ogobuchi was said to have confessed to the family that he was responsible for Wisdom’s disappearance. The deceased’s father, Amegu Ogbonna, who was shocked about the confession, then alerted the villagers.
”Ogobuchi told us that he is the one that killed Wisdom. He asked us to follow him to show us where he kept the body. We went with him to the stream where he threw the boy into.
We asked him why he killed his brother and he said a spirit directed him to do that, telling him that he will be a messiah in the world. We have reported the matter to the police and they have arrested Ogobuchi,” Amegu said.
He noted that Ogobuchi was hale and hearty and had no history of mental problem, which has put the family at a loss as to why he committed the crime.
He has been arraigned on a one-count charge of unlawfully causing the death of his brother.
