Family First! Media Personality Ariyike Akinbobola Shares Touching Story About Her Son

Award winning TV host, Compère, Youtube Star Vlogger, Humanitarian and a two time mum –  with all these titles, one can safely conclude that Ariyike Akinbobola is a hard working mum.

In a recent post on Instagram, the proud mom shared a touching story about how her presence at her children’s Christmas carol concert helped to improve her son’s performance and confidence level. She urged parents to make the time out to be available for their children, no matter how busy they were. She also went on to talk about and stress the necessity of always putting family first above every other thing:

“In all that I do, my Family comes first. They know my worth, they value me and they always look out for me. Sometimes my boys are even over protective because they see me as the Chic in the house so they handle me with care. After my exam yesterday in Ikeja, I had to rush straight to my Children’s school in Lekki for their Christmas Carol service because 2 of them were participating in the concert. Let’s just say I got there a few seconds before the first one went on stage, He spent the first few minutes looking around to see if I was in the crowd. As soon as our eyes met, hubby and I gave him thumbs up and you could see the instant sparkle in his eye + you could tell that his confidence level rose from a 60 to a 100 and he was so happy that he put his all in the performance. He read his lines like a Pro and got everyone clapping. Same as his brother. I’m really happy I could be there for them yesterday because I almost thought I wouldn’t make it. I’ve never missed any school event so it would have been really awkward if I didn’t go. Moral of the story: Learn to go out of your way for your kids, Don’t spend your life chasing after money and neglecting your responsibilities, Invest your time in your Kids, Be there for your Children and watch them thrive in all aspects of life and you’ll see how confident they will become just because they know you’ve got their back.
