Dear MIMsters: See What My Son’s Teacher Did to Him

About two weeks ago, in a post, a mum told us about how her daughter was knocked on the head for not doing a home-work she was given. The Mum said she retaliated by going to the school, calling out the teacher and giving her two slaps across her face. This mum was heavily criticised by many. I wonder what you will say when you watch the video of what my son’s teacher did to him.

My 4 year old son came back from school on Friday with these bruises all over his body (see video). He said his class teacher flogged him because he did not write in class. I went to the school head and he promised to do something. If it was you, what will you do?

I asked this question because I read post how most of you critiqued that Mum who went to hit back that teacher for knocking her daughter on the head.

  • Same thing happened to a friends daughter to the extent the girl said she wasn’t going to school. She says her teacher do knock her head cause she doesn’t know maths. She complained to the Proprietress and she promised to but when she didnt stop the mum had to confront the teacher herself. Do it yourself you can’t please people they should run their mouth whatso ever, its because they aren’t involved.

  • If you hit my child to the extent of inflicting injuries, hmmmmm….

  • So sorry about your sons ordeal.
I admit I was one of those who criticised the other mother who slapped the teacher that beat yher child. I felt that in spite of the provocation it is not proper to go physical in the school without exhausting all avenues.
I personally was flogged as a child way back (for consistently failing to do my homework), to the extent that I had to receive treatment in the Clinic.
My father was enraged and probably would have dealt physically with the teacher but for his ability to calm down and talk to the authorities. The teacher never beat me again.
Please note that I cannot condone the terrible abuse meted out to your child. I was aghast when I saw the video.
Talk to the Principal, Proprietor and the PTA Chairman. Take it up with law enforcement or through legal channels. These are ways you can get redress and I am certain you will. The video is a valuable piece of evidence.
I don’t like the idea of going to slap or beat the teacher in the school. It may generate more problems in the end.
God bless you my dear sister and protect your child and indeed all our children.

  • Oh my God! I don’t care what people may think or say but if someone does this to my child, i will make sure the person never touches another person’s child again. O gini di!
