Dear Mimsters: My Older Brother Thinks My Relationship with Bayo is a Taboo
I have found myself in a relationship with a guy who dated my older sister in the past. I did not know this fact before I entered in this relationship.
My elder sister in question has always been aware of my relationship with this guy but she never told me.

According to her, she said when she was ready to marry the guy, he was not ready, so she left him in peace and went on to marry her husband. This guy, Bayo, told me that the reason he didn’t tell me he was once in a relationship with my sister is because he was too scared to lose me .
How did I get to know? The truth was revealed when Bayo decided to come and formally ask my parents for my hand in marriage. My elder brother who is aware that Bayo and my sister have been previoulsy involved kicked against it.
He said it cannot work because the guy has already slept with my elder sister and I cannot get married to a guy my elder sister has already slept with.

Bayo is nice, lovely and caring and I love him. My parents and my elder sister in question is in support of our relationship or union. It is only my older brother who thinks this is a taboo. Is he right?
If your sister consents to it and your parents too, then he shouldn’t have a say.
