Nigerian blogger, Olu Famous, has taken to his Twitter handle to air his opinion on rape and got slammed for it.
According to his controversial statement, women get raped because they dress indecently. He also stated that men get moved even by the sight of their mothers’ sensitive parts.
He also urged ladies to please dress decently as it will help men not to rape them.

Indecent dressing, dirty movies, pornography are causing damage in d society. Boys/men are moved by these things. But let’s keep pretending.

It’s interesting that we all know rape is an issue in our society. It’s funny that we want to keep acting same way and expect change. Sad!
Rape is bad & can’t be justified, but you can avoid it by being decent. Yet there are few men under curse who will rape to destroy themselves.
Why is it that if a man bath his 6 years old daughter, people have issue with it? Ladies please dress decently, we will help men too. On many occasions we have seen women complain bitterly on social media when men are seen bathing their 6 years old daughters.

Some Nigerians, especially males slammed him for making such statements.
”This is a stupid statement. Indecent dressing has nothing to do with rape.
Advise men/boys to stop raping, stop feeling like women belong to them. Don’t tell women what to wear, because that is not the problem. You don’t tell a person to ‘help’ a thief to stop stealing by locking his door. Because a determined thief will break down an iron gate.
That you love watching pictures of beautiful cars, does not mean you will steal one.”
