Domestic Violence: Journalist Fejiro Oliver Calls out Abusive Barrister [Read Details]

Investigative journalist and human right activist, Fejiro Oliver has called out Nigerians, the government and everyone to help save women from domestic violence by reprimanding does who do such according to the law.

According to him, a barrister, Gerald Eguaroje from Edo state who resides in Lagos pounds on his wife at every slightest provocation, leaving her with bruises and serious injuries.

Being a person in the legal system, Fejiro believes Gerald should be in court fighting against domestic violence and calling out men who melt such treatment on their wives rather than been the monster himself.

According to Fejiro, Barrister Gerald and his wife have two kids together, a boy and a girl. He revealed that the information and pictures were sent to him by a passerby who witnessed the man beating his wife in the street.

He said the women is currently in danger and needs help as seen in pictures that she may lose her eye if nothing is done to resolve the situation. This is what led to his message ‘ Save women from domestic violence’

Even celebrity mothers who have experienced this, to mention a few Tonto Dike and Mercy Aigbe have also campaigned against this. Fejiro wants us all to put hands together and fight domestic violence.

Fejiro took to his Facebook to share the photos of the woman being beaten, call out the husband and share some information pertaining to them. Read what he wrote below:

Save women from domestic violence…The man in this post is Barr. Gerald Eguaroje from Okpe in Akoko Edo local government Area of Edo state while the wife is a Benin woman but they live in Lagos.

They are blessed with two kids,a boy and a girl. A lawyer who should be kicking against domestic violence is a dreaded monster in it. At the slightest provocation, he pounds the wife like a boxer, giving her bruises and serious injuries.

The picture of her here injured occurred when he wanted to bring a relative from the village and the wife simply asked why he never sought get opinion. Rather than explaining, he pounced on her like a cat and pummeled her face, saying he owns the house and can do what he likes.
