Take Caution! Victim of ‘One Chance’ Shares Her Experience to Warn Others

A young Nigerian woman identified as Annabel Fred has taken to her Facebook page to share her ordeal in the hands of ‘One Chance’ operators.

Annabel explained that she and her friend were robbed when they ordered Uber, after their shopping at the mall. They got into a car they erroneously thought was the Uber they ordered.

She said that after driving for a while, the driver stopped, claiming he wanted to fix the car but instead two other guys entered the car and robbed them.

Annabel is sharing their experience, caused by their mistake, so that others could learn from it.

I then said ok o, As he stopped, another guy quickly entered the car then the driver zoomed off immediately– sharply I even tried to open the door and run; but all to no avail then I realised we were in big troubled ::: my friend started shouting and crying- then one of the guys came to the back seat held her neck so hard that she couldn’t even scream: then they asked me to give them my phones.

I left my phones at home I told them. the other guy used his gun to hit my eye ( he brought out a small knife, pepper spray, and small axe). He asked for the second time ‘ where is your phone? I see 2 phones for your hand , where them dey?

Then I had no choice than to give him my phones when I saw blood dropping, he started beating us and asked his friend to give him that handkerchief (but the guy driving said his spirit doesn’t want him to harm us) but he should collect everything from us.

So they collected the things we bought @ the Shoprite, they took my friend’s phones and mine too, her waist watch, my neck chain, our handbags, asked for our ATM cards and thank God none of us came out with it.

They searched us and collected the cash we had on us’ they even collected my friend’s ear rings ????– then dumped us on a lonely part.

  • I always call the uber or taxify drivers even before they call me and I make sure I verify the car properly. Yesterday I ordered taxify from the market to go home. On the app it says a KIA Creator and the driver came with a Toyota Camry, I had to ask him thoroughly why he said the KIA is his former car. I made sure I watch him start the trip oh before we moved. Please people let’s be careful oh December is here and too many desperate peeps out there.
